Description
For this year, the theme of our summer school is ‘Debt’. We hope to tackle the theme from a broader perspective,
treating it not only as a conventional financial concept, but also taking ‘Indebtedness’ as moral and developmental
problems of the modern world order. We aim to reflect on the problems of neo-liberal globalization, particularly its
detrimental impact on national and human sustainable developments. We also engage the diverse historical and
contemporary practices of development in the Global South with the theoretical ambition of envisioning alternative
approaches towards a sustainable human development and a true multilateral world order.
