1. Eligibility: Applicants must be students from European countries who are college students or senior high school students.
2. Language Proficiency: English. Knowledge of Chinese is an asset but not mandatory.
3. Cultural Sensitivity: A demonstrated willingness to engage with Chinese culture and to contribute positively to the cultural exchange aspect of the program.
4. Health and Safety: Applicants must be in good health and able to meet any health and safety requirements set by the host institution and local health authorities.

Description
The SmartCraft EU-China Youth Initiative is a dynamic short-term program aimed at fostering cultural and technological ties between European and Chinese youth. The program is to invite students and teachers to visit Hangzhou Polytechnic for 7 days to undertake an academic exchange preferably during July or August, 2024 on the purpose of exploring the history and culture of Hangzhou, appreciating the spirit of craftsmanship, advanced manufacturing as well as to learn Chinese. This initiative is designed to blend China's rich cultural legacy with state-of-the-art intelligent manufacturing, crafting a one-of-a-kind learning environment for students globally.
