The purpose of the program is to invite a group of U.S. college students to visit China so that they can have a more intuitive and in-depth understanding of China and its people and culture via close interaction of the elite youth from both countries. The program is held by XDU in Xi'an, the ancient city where traditional Chinese culture converges, where classical and modern are blended. Through the design of thematic lectures, experimental and practical activities, cultural experiences, field visits, etc., the program will lead the youths of the two countries to embark on an extraordinary journey to explore the ancient capital, so that they can experience first-hand the beauty of the blend of classical and modern. Youth are encouraged to tell the China Story from new and unique perspectives, presenting a true, colorful and comprehensive image of China to the world, build the bond for better understanding for a shared future of mankind.
